1. Introduction

The merokam platform provides services connecting agricultural businesses with workers (skilled or unskilled) for finding work and collaborations. These terms govern the use of the platform. By registering, you accept these terms.

2. Account Creation

Users must provide accurate and up-to-date information during registration. Providing false or misleading information may result in suspension or deletion of your account. The user is responsible for protecting their credentials (email & OTP SMS).

3. User Rights and Obligations

Users must use the platform in accordance with applicable law. Posting, distributing, or publishing content that is illegal, offensive, abusive, or violates third-party rights is prohibited.

Prohibited Activities:

  • Απαγορεύεται αυστηρά η εγγραφή και δραστηριοποίηση γραφείων μετακλήσεων εργατών, μεσαζόντων ή ενδιάμεσων φορέων που προσφέρουν υπηρεσίες μεταφοράς ή μετάκλησης εργατών.
  • Mass submission of applications to listings for the purpose of promoting third-party services is prohibited.
  • The platform is intended exclusively for direct communication between independent employers and workers.
  • Violation of these terms will result in immediate permanent account suspension.

Behavior and Communication:

  • Users must communicate with courtesy and professionalism.
  • The use of abusive, threatening, or harassing language is prohibited.
  • Your behavior will be evaluated through the platform's review system.
  • Repeated negative reviews may lead to restriction or suspension of your account.

3a. Profile Photo

Workers have the option to upload a profile photo to increase their credibility.

Photo Terms of Use:

  • The photo must be recent, clear, and depict only you.
  • Blurry photos, photos with multiple people, or inappropriate content are prohibited.
  • The photo is stored on secure servers in the EU and is protected under GDPR.
  • The photo appears ONLY to employers to whom you have applied for work.
  • It DOES NOT appear in search engines, to other workers, or publicly.
  • You can delete your photo at any time from your profile.
  • By uploading a photo, you confirm that you have the right to use it and agree to these terms.

3b. Review System

The platform will feature a review system where employers and workers can rate each other after completing a cooperation.

Review Criteria:

  • Courtesy and communication
  • Professionalism
  • Adherence to agreements (hours, payment, working conditions)
  • Quality of work (for workers)
  • Working conditions (for employers)

Reviews must be honest and based on actual experience. Posting false or malicious reviews is prohibited and may lead to suspension.

4. Personal Data Protection

The platform collects and processes personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Data is used exclusively for the operation of the platform and is not shared with third parties without your consent.

5. Payments and Services

Use of the platform is free during the initial operation period. In the future, paid services may be introduced. Users will be informed in a timely manner of any changes.

6. Security

The platform uses modern technologies to protect your data. Despite security measures, full protection against cyber attacks is not guaranteed.

7. Liability

The merokam platform is not liable for:

  • The employer-employee relationship created through the platform.
  • Any damage or loss arising from the use of the platform.
  • The accuracy of information provided by other users.
  • Actions of third parties violating the terms of use (e.g., recruitment agencies).

Important Clarification:
merokam is NOT a job agency, middleman, or employer. We are a technology platform that simply connects workers with employers. We do not handle worker invitations from abroad and do not provide transport or mediation services.

8. Modification of Terms of Use

The terms of use may be modified at any time. Users will be informed of changes via email or notifications on the platform.

9. Termination of Services

merokam reserves the right to discontinue or suspend services at any time, without prior notice.
